All Wrong / Whisper
All right!! This is one of the best bass intros I've ever heard. Mark Sandman is a genius. This live performance is amazing. The bass on Whisper is also great, so enjoy it as a bonus.

Early To Bed
Since we've had lots of melodic lines, here's a very simple one: a single note throughout the whole song. It's all in the rhythm.
Only a genius like Mark Sandman could pull that off and make it work so beautifully.

French Fries w/ Pepper
In my opinion, Mark Sandman was one of the greatest bassists of all time. His inventiveness (ever heard of lo-rock?) can be heard on the basslines he has created with his unique playing style. You don't get to hear a 2-string slide bass very often, do you?
"French Fries w/ Pepper" is not Morphine's greatest hit, but certainly is a nice introduction to his work and style.
